Forum for the Future: Water in a changing world

Fr. 2012-11-16 (10:00), Audimax und ÖBG

Water – real and virtual -, water and politics, water in developing countries and water and technology – this is what the forum for the future hosted by the City and the University Bayreuth deals with this year. The guest speakers Prof. Dr. Silke R. Laskowski, Dr. Ines Dombrowsky und Dr. E.h. Hans G. Huber will give talks about these topics.

Students of the elite graduate program Global Change Ecology developed an interactive exhibition about virtual water, the department for Analytical Chemistry will test water samples brought by the guests. Music and art performances near the lake next to the Audimax will complete the program.

A panel discussion „Wasser in der Welt von Morgen“ facilitated by Bernhard Borgeest, from the FOCUS magazine, rounds off the scientific part of the forum, whose program was developed by Prof. Stefan Peiffer and Prof. Carl Beierkuhnlein.

In the evening Prof. Dr. Klaus Töpfer will be awarded the Wilhelmine-von-Bayreuth-Prize of the City of Bayreuth.

All interested people are invited to participate in the forum for the future as well as the ceremony! (participation is free of charge)
